The Hype Machine

The Hype Machine crawls music blogs and lets you discover songs. The site likes to think it works like Google: crawling blogs for MP3 files, storing the files in their database as a cache and offering a full preview of the songs.
"The Hype Machine is probably the coolest music search engine. That's because you can actually listen to music and because there's a lot of underground music."

Wannahaves at the Demofall 2006 Conference

DEMO is the premier launch venue for new products, technologies and companies. For more than 16 years, DEMO has established a reputation for identifying and presenting to an elite audience the products most likely to have a significant impact on the marketplace and market trends in the coming year.
This time I listened to a product called MojoPac. Despite it's name ;-) "RingCube’s modest innovations will most certainly have a tremendous impact on anytime, anywhere computing. " Not bad review.
Check out some of the timesavers, like Dash Navigation Inc. - love to have that - or Plugged, Inc. - too early for me but great product, or Riya.com - a solution everyone will want to have. Or find your own "wannahaves", at the Demofall 2006 conference.

Opera Mini

Opera Mini™ is a fast and tiny Web browser, that allows you to access the full Internet on your phone.
I downloaded Opera Mini to my Sony Ericsson today. I immediatelly liked the small font, the speed (everything is precompressed, which also reduces the cost), the intuative navigation and clear pictures + the Wikipedia search! It works great with Gmail, PicasaWeb and some News sites! I have yet to try out Maps, Positioning services and Music.
Before you install it, try the simulator. To install, just type mini.opera.com (in your phone) and then select your language. That's it.

Live MultiMegaMedia

Is Live MultiMegaMedia the latest trend? Sony let a house explode in color and Ipod let the streets of London explode in Music.

Ask Ms. Dewey

If you think search engines need a human face, Ms. Dewey might be a good company for you. The search engine is not great, but not bad either (bonus points if you guess the search engine), but the main attraction here is Ms. Dewey. She's ironic, clever and provocative. For example, try to enter something like "your phone".

Maybe in the future, search engines will be so smart that they'll be able to both answer your questions and make you smile.
