DittyBot - Bridges between Islands

I have never seen so many Bridges between different Islands.

You send a text message from your mobile phone to your POP email account. Your text message should contain the keywords of a song title (and possibly an artist name) that you want to hear. DittyBot finds that email (he checks Mail every 45 seconds) and copies the song name into a text file. The song name is then copied into iTunes and a playlist is created from your search. Next, DittyBot loads Skype (the internet telephony app) and begins calling your mobile phone. Your mobile phone rings and when you pick it up, you should hear your song start playing in all its compressed glory. DittyBot will play your selection to you over your phone until you hang up. Mind you, this all should happen within 1 minute of sending your song request (depending on the speed of your POP server). Sometimes it’s even quicker!

Chinese Food Prank

This is a great prank and I hope someone out their can pull this off again. Call two Chinese restaurants and let them take orders from each other.

Also, check out this dancer. It takes an incredible amount of strength to pull these moves off.

Percy Pig

What's cuter than a pig sitting in a chair sunning himself? I can't think of anything to top that.

The saying 'It's a dog's life', may well have to be changed to 'a piggy's life' if this picture of total animal bliss is anything to go by.

For this little porker snoozed his way through a hot sunny afternoon at a wildlife centre in South Devon over the weekend.

Hiroshima Day

Sunday is Hiroshima Day. Watch a video and see what this image is all about.

Live GPS tracker - Where will this lead us?

There is an integrated GPS functionality for devices that run Windows Mobile 5. You can find a demonstration of the GPS by going to the Atlas homepage and selecting Services->GPS (Beta). It shows you how it can track multiple devices simultaneously so that you can easily track someone.

Will WikiMapia lead us down the same route?

Live RSS news feeder

What's Up? is an application that tracks a large number of RSS news feeds. It can be used on your PC as an active desktop or screensaver. Whatsup also works great as a wall projection at places such as airports, shopping malls or office receptions.

Windows - New Dimensions

The concept is actually quite cool
Table 1 + Table 2
(don't miss the last minute)

Windows makes you think of Miniority Report and Real Holographics Screens (forward to 50sek) makes you think of Star Wars.

Amazing 11 year old singer

This girl is just simply amazing! What a voice. You got to hear it to believe it.

The Transparent Factory in Dresden

The building and grounds are beautiful, and the whole process of both making and selling Phaetons is totally different than that for any other car in the world.

A funny flash website from Phillips Shavers

Skype - Virtual Desktop Camera

NyanDesktopCamera is the software for sending a desktop as video call through Skype - it means you don't need a web-camera. It can be used to Show pictures or Remote guide someone. It can be found under Skype Extras.

Other cool plug-ins:
PrettyMay is your personal voice assistant. It can record and replay any Skype call. PrettyMay can Auto answers calls, remote access Skype voicemails and PrettyMay voicemessages from regular phone. Just imagine when it can record video and send it to you mail or phone.

A few days ago, many sites reported that the Japanese company Novac has released a product that lets you stream your home TV across Skype video. Novac set up a demo page where you can see it right in action. It’s in Japanese but I've taken the liberty to translate it with Google.

Or, do you think Skype should go web-based - before Adobe (Macromedia Flash player) or any other major player create a web-phone-service - like E-meeting from China? That is connected to a Flash Skype based Mobile Phone.
